COMPARE Diabetes develops outcomes for Type 1 Diabetes.
The COMPARE Initiative is an international not-for-profit research collaboration working towards an international consensus on definitions and standardised outcome measures for therapeutic trials and epidemiological studies in Paediatric Endocrinology.
Who are we?
The outcomes are developed based on shared priorities between patients, families and caregivers, clinicians, researchers, policy makers and other relevant stakeholders. You can find out more information about who is involved under each project e.g. COMPARE-Diabetes.
What is an outcome?
When conducting research the effects of an intervention e.g. a medication are assessed by looking at how this changes an ‘outcome’. An outcome is something that can be measured and is related in some way to a health condition or treatment.
